Kim and I met through work. We instantly connected since the first day we met and became close friends. Somehow in the beginning of 2026 we found ourselves buying a boba shop together.
Fast forward to today, business ownership is no joke and we’re still learning a lot as we go along. The biggest motivator for us is our love for food and our community. We treasure the relationships we’ve built with our workers and customers. It’s truly amazing to be a part of the Mission neighborhood and we are thankful for the love and support of our staff and customers.
We inherited District Tea from the previous owners and we were lucky enough to have them mentor us. Kim and I didn’t come up with the name District Tea but we have come to really love that name and have made it our own.
District Tea for us feels very San Francisco. If you’re from the bay you know that each district in SF has its own personality and flavor. And that’s the center of inspiration for our menu. We want to have something for everyone no matter where you’re from.
